Adoption Process

1

RESEARCH

Take time to think of what you are capable of caring for, both now and in several years. Some animals may have longer lifespans than others. Some animals require consistent handling and long periods of enrichment and engagement.

Think about what you will have time for today, tomorrow, and several months from now. Think of when you have the most consistent amount of free-time; some animals are nocturnal.

Think of expenses, short-term and long-term. Veterinary bills add up fast, so having a savings account, pet insurance, or familiarizing yourself with options like CareCredit or ScratchPay can save you a headache when unknown medical needs can arise.

2

PREPARE

Preparation is key to ensuring your animal will live a long and happy life. Review the resources available under our Resource tab to learn about each critter's individual needs.

Some species require larger cages than others. Some may require a play pen to ensure they receive safe free-roam time (and cannot get into any hazards, like outlets, cords, other household animals, items dropped, etc.)

Some animals require wheels where some prefer climbing,. flying, or other means of exercise. Familiarize yourself with your pet's need and refer to their checklists, available under our Resource tab or on each animal's profile.

3

APPLY

The most important step! Apply to adopt an animal from us. Review each animal's bio and checklist to ensure they are a good fit for your family.

Stuck between a few friendly faces? Reach out to us and we'd love to help determine which critter would be the best match.

We do have a strict adoption process to ensure our animals next home is their last home. We want the adoption to be as good of a fit for you as it is for them.

Our Adoptables.

All of our adoptable animals can be found by visiting our 'Adoptables' page above, or by visiting Petfinder or our social media profiles. Take a peek below at a few of our highlighted animals.
